Hello from Chicago!

Hi everyone! I've been around the fresh water forums for years. I've bred fresh water stingrays and pretty much done everything there is to do in fresh. Years ago I also had a FOWLR and now I'm looking to get back into the salt. My main interests are pretty much a large FOWLR and eventually I think It would be pretty neat to have multiple pico reefs around the house. Filtration setups and new ideas about maintenance and filtration ideas and DIY projects always interest me.

Welcome! You have some nice stores around your parts! If you've never been to old town aquariums or reef wise definitely check them out

Old town is a good one! I've never been to reef wise. There are a lot of good fish stores all around the Chicagoland area.

Where do you live? The city itself (( I used to live in LakeView and Andersonville )) or the 'burbs? I am currently in Carol Stream. ReefWise is out in Lisle.

Thanks guys! Rozdab, I've never been there either. I'm more of a northsider I guess. Living sea, Aquarium Adventure, Old Orchard Aquarium. I think I need to make a trip out to you guys and see how the LFS's are by you.

I'm with Rozdab, Reefwise is a great spot to hit up. Aquapros is also a good spot. I've been to Aquarium Adventure, Old Orchard Aquarium great spots as well although I have never been to Living Sea, i'm going to have to check it out.

Ok I need to check these places out. I'm also wondering if there are any saltwater and reef clubs in the Chicagoland area and if so what does everyone think about them.
