Hello, I'm new to this forum, my reef bug is back and and I'm starting up a couple new tanks.

I've been into aquariums for a long time, my first was a 55 gallon tropical community tank 15 years ago or so. Then it became a 55 gallon Mbuna African cichlid tank. Had that for a few years and then I moved out of my parents place and it became a Ball Python tank for a few years. Then I had a girlfriend move in and the snake went away and became a cichlid tank again, lol. The girlfriend became the wife and we moved to a rented house and had our first son so I didn't have a tank for a while and then got the itch again and this time started my first reef tank, a 46 gallon bowfront. Only had it for a few months before I decided it was too small and upgraded to a 125. Ran the 125 for a while and had another son and the time/money was an issue so I downgraded to a 28 nano cube. Had that for a few years and we moved again this time bought a house and I decided to finish the basement with a in-wall tank between the main family room and the laundry room. It took a long time to finish the basement little by little, all this time I had the tank set-up once again as a African cichlid tank. I took the tank down and sold off everything as we were planning on moving again, I was gonna finish off the wall where the tank was before we put the house up for sale. Decided to set-up a small 37 gallon reef in the upstairs living room. Long sad story made short we found out we're not moving any time soon so I decided to put a tank back into the wall and make it a reef this time.

So currently I have a 37 gallon upstairs in the living room it's been running live for a couple months, cycled for a month before that it will be a softie only, maybe a LPS or 2 as it only has 2 Current Orbit Marine 23W LED lights. And I'm in the planning & procuring process for the 120 in wall in the basement family room.

Looking forward to a new community.

Nice to see another local. I use to have a 75g tank I used for my ball python then got rid of my snake (girlfriend freaked out whenever it got loose and it did) and turned it into a sw tank a while back. Now I just have a 29 gallon biocube. Welcome to the forum.

My wife hated the fact I raised gerbils to feed the snake, he wouldn't eat feeder mice.

I'm in Cincy too. Welcome to the forum. If u haven't checked out aquarium artisans yet I highly recommend them. Its a very nice store!

I'm kinda spoiled on fish as I live 5 minutes from Monfort Aquarium. They have a decent selection of fish at the lowest prices I've found in town, their corals are kinda pricey though. I used to always get coral at the Coral Ranch outside Dayton but I think they are closed to the public now, wholesale only. I've been to Coral Pets before it's nice from what I remember. I stopped in Aquarium Artisans a few weeks ago and looked around, their fish prices were kinda high. I'm not ready for corals yet the 37's only a couple months old and I'm fighting a algae problem at the moment so lighting's reduced.

Yeah I saw the frag swap for CARE. I believe it's in West Chester. I think I might have to go see what they have, $5 for non paid members. I don't visit their site much but do check there for local dry goods for sale every once in a while.
