Hi! I've been a member of the forums for a while to get advice on speccing out a tank but that was a while ago. Well, I've finally decided on building out a Nuvo 30L (https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/i-finally-did-it-nuvo-fusion-30l-build.424059/page-2#post-4969258)!
Anyways, my name is Andrew, I'm 24, and I grew up in Laguna Beach, CA and surfed just about every day. I spent a lot of time snorkeling and exploring the beaches and coves where I really grew fond of sea life. I remember snorkeling with my friends, diving as deep as we could and trying to swim through the tunnels of kelp forests. Of course looking back now that was extremely dangerous but I'll never forget how amazing it looks when you're 30ft down looking up at the sun shining between the kelp and fish
I came out to Denver to study Computer Science at DU and ended up getting a fantastic job as a software engineer for Flowhub, a company that automates sales and compliance for cannabis dispensaries. I just bought my first house a few months ago and, of course, my first thought was AQUARIUM!!! There is a 6' opening between my office and the living room that I was dying to do a built-in but it would have been a massive project (old house built on crawlspace, would need structural engineering). So after a ton of research and indecision I ended up with a 30L. I already want to upgrade lol.
Other hobbies:
PC Gaming
Guitar / Songwriting / Audio Production (metal)
Photography
Mountain Biking
Camping / Climbing / Hiking / Backpacking
Well, that's my long-winded introduction. I'm happy to be here and I have already learned so much!
