Hello everyone and thanks first off for having me. I have kept freshwater fish for a little over a year now and am going to be making the plunge into saltwater...soon. I am currently deployed and have a good deal of time to do all my research before even getting started. I have read many articles and forums and have a very basic understanding of what I need to make the jump over to the salty side. The tank I will be setting up will be the 75G Aqueon. I would like to drill it and do a sump with my current freshwater set up which is a 29G tank. Is this large enough? I am also having a hard time understanding the build for a sump, I have only used canisters. So far the equipment I am looking at using is as follows:
Coralife Super Protein Skimmer (rated for 125G)
Eheim 1260 return pump
1 Tunze Turbelle Stream 6105 powerhead
I have not been able to figure out what light I will need. So far for stocking I would like to get 2 clownfish, some chromis , a foxface rabbitfish, clean up crew, and a bubble tip anemone or two once I know I can handle just the fish. I also figure I will need about 100 lbs of rock (plan on doing dry due to cost).
Kind of long first post with a lot of questions, I apologize.
