I got into this hobby a year ago after catching a tatter-tot sized porcupine puffer off of Dania beach; he's my personal aquatic puppy, haha! Since my mother got a hold of a 180 gal tank last weekend (she's switching from her 75), she said we can consolidate the three tanks we have (my puffer is alone in a 35). BUT, we need to make an acrylic divider for the tank, because Nergigante (my overly curious puffer) is not going to fly with her expensive corals, haha.
My main question would be, could an eel be safe on my puffer's side? He's gonna get a smaller portion of the tank, but the main concern is the eel jumping to the other side, heh. I want a dwarf golden moray, but my mother is saying any eel is going to wreck her tank, lol.
Oh, and also, Nergigante was not nice to a snowflake eel I bought awhile back in his 35 gal (I returned him eventually). I was on another forum and someone said there simply isn't enough room for him to feel comfortable with another tankmate? Will he try and make any tankmate on the run even in a bigger tank? He'll probably get 60 gallons of water, so double what he has now. I'm curious what fish would work with him (another fish I really want is a panther grouper).
