I just joined R2R.
I'm from Germany and I just have nano tanks (two tropic and one cold north sea/mediterranean).

My "big" tropic nano (~10 gal.):

It's the home of my Thor amboinensis and 9 hermit crabs (I breed both).

My new reef ceramic nano (~5 gal.), set up was 3 weeks ago:

This is the future Thor amboinensis-kindergarden (for the young shrimps).

And my north sea/mediterranean reef ceramic nano (~13 gal.):

This is the home of my spider crabs (their larvae are in the bottle), 2 sea urchins, Palaemon, mussels, my two brittle stars and snails.

At the moment I just have a female spider crab (Macropodia sp.). The male one was killed while they were mating *oops*

She loves red! She tears apart all my red algae for her decoration...

10 days ago she gave birth to larvae.
Meanwhile 14 of them are in the megalopa-stadium and I hope atleast some of them get through metamorphosis.

They are so tiny! One square measures 5*5mm. But they are so aggressive!
Each of them has an own cup, otherwise they kill each other...o_O

WOW they are amazing. Thank you thank you!
Is it a temperate tank?

The tank is placed in an unheated room. At the moment it's rather warm here in Germany, so the water temperature is up at 18C/65F, it should be at 15C/59F (colder would be even better).
Cooling the tank would be nice, but if I remove the glass cover, my snails run away.:( Winkles don't care about dry places.
