Hello all, my name is Chris, I am from Greenville NC and I am addicted...lol. I have been doing saltwater for a bit now and love every minute of it. I am the president of Coastal Plains Reef Keepers, which is a fairly new and upcoming reef club. I recently downsized from my 180 full reef to a 60 cube full reef. To give you a brief synopsis of my tank:
Marineland 60g Cube RR
30g Sump, with old school Euro Reef skimmer, avast marine ATO, reef keeper lite with dual PC4's. I am running a quiteone 4000 pump and one MP10 for flow. Lighting is a Hamilton Belieze 250w MH with T5 Supp. I am soon to switch to a DIY LED array and will be switching to a reef octopus SS skimmer as well.
Livestock:
2 Donis Reef Platinum Clowns
1 Mystery Wrasse
1 Clown Wrasse
1 Female Mandarin (recently lost my male to carpet surfing)
2 BTA, one rose, one orange, pink and green rainbow
Misc Coral, zoanthinds, chalice, acro, acan, echinata and so on.
I am a huge Mandarin Freak and have devoted butt loads of time learning them. I have recently started a rehab tank which I purchase or resuce sick mandarins from LFS or indaviduals, and nurse them to health. I also train them to eat mysis. Before my male decided to go surfing, my pair was mated and spawned on a regular basis. I also have devoted tons of time to learning clown fish as well. I LOVE MY PLATINUMS.
