Hello from Israel!! :)

Hi to all of R2R members!
My name is Shay, and im a 24(well, i'll be 24 in a couple of weeks) year old reefer from israel.

Beside me being a reefer, im a proffesional basketball player (6ft 5in SF) and a dairy farmer.

I live in a Kibbutz- Kibbutz, by Wikipedia: A kibbutz ("gathering, clustering"; plural kibbutzim) is a collective community in Israel that was traditionally based on agriculture. Today, farming has been partly supplanted by other economic branches, including industrial plants and high-tech enterprises. Kibbutzim began as utopian communities, a combination of Collectivism and Zionism. In recent decades, some kibbutzim have been privatized and changes have been made in the communal lifestyle. A member of a kibbutz is called a kibbutznik

I started about 5 years ago with a 25G nano reef, than moved to a 170G FOWLR (120G DT, 50G sump) than i had a 80G aneomne dominated tank, and now i have...well, nothing

but im allready working on my next tank!

Hi Shay and welcome to R2R! I love Israel! I have had the pleasure of visiting a couple of times and have stayed in a Kibbutz both times.

I really want to go back soon!

PS. I also have some in-laws who are Israeli.

Welcome to reef2reef Shay. I had an uncle who lived in a Kibbutz in Isreal for awhile. I'm looking forward to seeing some pictures from you. Since Isreal borders the Red Sea I would imagine you can get some really great coral and fish for affordable prices! שָׁלוֹם

First of all, next time you're in israel i'm going to take you to the best LFS's so you'll see what we have here

second of all, do you remember in which kibbutz you stayed in? as you know, israel is a very small country- so i might even know some people over there.
and where are your in-laws from?

Actually, we've got everything in here. from clownfish to rare angelfish and collector's fish.
Sea horses, special inverts, sharks, you name it- we got it.

Do you remember which Kibbutz?
We're actually not taking anything from the red sea because we're trying to save whats left of it in the borders of israel.
So we import everything from around the globe...
