I live in Kentucky, where I have owned a saltwater tank for the past 9-1/2 years. I started with a 29-gallon tall tank, and then upgraded to a 92-gallon corner tank (as I call it, a triangular bow front).
I love corals, esp. the stony corals, and fish; I have built my own sump/refugium and while I am trying to stay less high-tech, am learning now about LED lights. Partially this is because with, as I call it above, a triangular bow front, it is hard to find a single fixture to light my entire tank…so I think a DIY might end up being the thing to do.
I am also a member of the Big Blue Reef club (bigbluereef.com), based out of Lexington, KY, which has allowed me to meet many more fellow reefers locally than I knew existed.
I have enjoyed perusing the site, and am continuing to learn.
