Hello from Louisiana

Hello everyone. I'll be coming up to Chattanooga this Thursday, and staying until Monday. What stores are must see up there? Addresses would be wonderful, as I can just input them into the GPS and off I go. Also, is the aquarium worth seeing or no? Thanks in advance for all of your help.

As far as the aquarium goes, it isn't bad at all. It has been a while since I have been there but I always enjoy it when I go. Have also thought about volunteering there since I do SCUBA.

I would go to the aquarium and the to store list above are the only good one we have for saltwater

If you go into 5thd ay tell them they look short handed lol. Anyways the aquarium isnt that nice. Only 1 small reef tank the rest is just huge poorly lit tanks with way overgrown atlantic blue tangs and then a ton of freshwater.... yay! runon sentances.
Anyways both those stores are good ones to stop at as you run through.

The aquarium is a decent atraction. the reef tank is new and is I believe 1000 gallons. There is a saltwater section and a freshwater section. If you like aquaria in general you will love the aquarium. if you only like coral you may not be impressed.
The stores above are the only decent stores worth the drive. If there are certain corals you are looking for post a list and im sure there are locals that will have what you are looking for. Enjoy your visit.

I took my nephew to the TN aquarium the summer of 08 and was very impressed by the additions, doesnt hold a candle to the GA aquarium, but its well worth the price of admission IMO.

Ya Jay, I'll take pics of stuff I run across. I actually forgot about the GA aquarium when we were up that way this past summer for wrestling. Definately will check it out next summer when we're back up that way. Thanks for the replies guys.

I actually live about 5 miles from the TN aquarium, and I've been to the GA one more often. Theres also Ripleys aquarium in the smokies if you feel like driving a couple hours more, its fairly small but they make the most out of the space they have.
