Hello from Louisiana

Hello all, Jordan here. I've been keeping marine tanks for ~10 years. I've had a number of tanks thru the years but currently have a 90 mixed reef with a pair of ribbon eels, a 65 housing a Ritteri with a pair of Percs, and another 65 with an abnormal stocklist. I'm fairly active in my local forum, an occasional poster on another national forum, but yalls site somehow flew under my radar. I'm part of the crew over at WWM and was made aware of your site while answering a query.(Hi Dave, sorry it took so long to join and thanks again for the invite.)

Invertebrates are my real love when it comes to marine tanks but I have a soft spot for eels as well. Glad to have finally found the site and look forward to learning a thing or two.

Welcome! Big fan of WWM! Tank looks great. There was a recent thread about someone else with a blue ribbon eel maybe you two could swap stories.

Hi neighbor, I'm pretty sure I've driven thru Des Allemands a time or two. Do you post on any of the local boards, specifically BRK? Bob came by when he was in town to speak at one of our club meets. Definitely nervous as to what he would say about the 65 but he's really a laidback guy. Stock list is nothing horrible like a group of tangs, it's just an odd mix of fish and Cnidarians that I would not recommend to most.

No although I guess I need to look into it if for nothing else than to find fellow reefers/hobbyists. To be honest there was one starting up around here a few years ago but if you weren't in the clique you were an outsider and if you showed a picture of a prized possession as nice or nicer than some of the older members, you were either lying or photoshopped the picture and if you actually brought the specimen you were excommunicated so to speak. So that left a bad taste in my mouth. You'll have to let me know when you plan on having a swap or the board that shows when. It's a nice place here Jordan. Doesn't appear to be a cynically inclined place like a few others I know of. I'm also gonna send you a pm later. On my phone now so when I get things straightened out I'll do it. "Be Chattin'" LOL give youan idea of how much WWM I read, whether anything is wrong or not.
