Hello. I’ve been lurking for a while. Not exactly new to the hobby but it’s been 10ish years since I tore down my last tank. Set up a 72g bow front for my kids as a qt tank with a 20g sump. It’s been cycled for about 6 months. I currently have a Red Sea 625 waiting to be set up when I have some time. Current tank does ok. Looking for a skimmer if anyone has one cheap. Otherwise the tank currently holds a a few clowns a yellow, hippo, sail fin, and clown tang and a blue throat trigger. There are 3 elegance some Duncan’s, maze, a trachy and a few other lps corals. Everything does fine minus the torches. Tried two both lasted for between 2 weeks and a month before receding. Two hammers and two frogspawn do fine though. So if anyone has a great idea let me know. Flow is two maxspect gyres 230s running in an alternating pattern between 0 and 40%. Lighting is an ati sunpower 6x54 with 4 blue + 1 coral + and an actinic. Sump has macro both chaeto and red ogo that grow like weeds.

Welcome! Sounds like a great set up! I would like to see some Picts.
Also torches may prefer a more chaotic flow then a laminar? Definitely do a build thread for your 650.
I hv a Red Sea 525.
Make sure you wear a back brace!
Oh yeah it’s heavy. It was fun moving the boxes around in the family room so they are close to their final spot. As for the flow it’s pretty chaotic in spots due to rocks and having two gyres one at each end. they flowed nicely at first than slowly went downhill. It has me perplexed.
