Welcome to Reef 2 Reef!!

The Red Sea Reefled has been the best 90watt led that Bulk Reef Supply has tested to their specs, but there have been "some" power supply issues.

Red Sea has acknowledged it, and are talking care of customers as need be.

Again,
Welcome... :)

i guess if i were to get Red Sea 170, I will definitely go withReefLED 90

Your welcome.

I think the Reefer 170 Deluxe already come with that lamp, but I really like the Reefer Nano too.

Good luck, and have a nice evening.

Welcome to R2R!

Welcome back.

You could spend a few hours/days/weeks bouncing around the lighting forum Dana moderates. Just earn a few minor prerequisites at your local university in horticulture, marine biology, and particle physics and it's pretty straightforward!

Welcome to the group.

If you go with the RSR 170 deluxe it will come with the 1 Red Sea reef LEd. Never had one so not sure about performance.

Like Vetteguy mentioned 2 primes would be good. Both the AI prime and 26 have a spread of 24”, but they recommend keeping it to 18”. The 26 has a few more led and a bit more penetration depth if I remember correct. The 170 is 24 long so if not going with the deluxe version then I would get 2 of the AI. The prime are cheaper, but the 26 may be useful if ever doing an upgrade down the road and the clam, would need the higher par.

Keep us posted on you progress and welcome.

Not much information out there for ReefLED 90 :(

i don't think i will be upgrading but i would like to get a clam in my tank. So getting hydra will be better choice since it has higher par. But i saw this on some website that only difference that hydra and prime is OSRAM OSLON Deep Red for hydra vs Cree Deep Red 660nm for ai prime, will this make big difference?

Once i start on my tank I sure will post it!
Thank you
