After some prompting from my boyfriend, zladson, I'm jumping in here as well. As he said, we recently started with two 10 gallon tanks that we hope to use as quarantine tanks once they've cycled. He was correct in his post that most of the work will be him only because he's done the most research. I love pets and have always wanted a saltwater tank, so I'm very anxious to get fish & coral! Zladson is making sure I don't rush it so we don't hurt any creatures because that would make me more sad that not having the saltwater aquarium. It's been about 24 hours since we started our tanks, and our first testing of the water shows an apparently successful start.
My first specific question: We are looking to invest in an RO system because it's very difficult to find RO water in our city. Any suggestions as to where we can start to get the best bang for our buck? Our display tank will be 45 gallons.
