Starting a new venture here with a reef tank.
Have had fish only tanks in the past and have been out of the hobby for some 15 years.
But have been reading learning and gathering the equipment listed below for the past six months.
Putting everything together and testing it out is almost done and hopefully will be adding the salt water here in the next few weeks.
Used 150G tank with a Hamilton hybrid light fixture with four new T5's and two new 250W Metal Halide 20000K Radium's, new Triton 44 Sump, new VarioS-8 return pump, new Bubble Magus Curve 7, new Kessil H380 for the fuge.
new Maxspect Gyre XF280 Controller and two heads.
Along with a new Apex controller, with most of the bells and whistles.
7 stage RO/DI unit, 3 65G containers for fresh water storage, three brute's for mixing and storing salt water.
Oh yea and two sets of test kits, API and Hanna's, along with the ICP testing.
So as I am older, hopefully wiser, and have made quality equipment purchases, I am keeping my fingers crossed that I will succeed in the reefing world.
I plan on doing the four month cycle before adding test corals.
So Wish me luck in my ventures and thanks for stopping by.
Almost ready for water, look almost no visible cables.
7 Stage RO/DI storage Station
Apex controller board one module to still be mounted.
Hanna test kits, refractometers, and PH probe
4 part dosing containers inside cabinet.
