I am 76 years young and I started my 8 gallon Innovative Marine tank 3 weeks ago. I have a nice large live rock, with sponge growing on it, and a second smaller rock next to it. I have live substrate from my LFS. I have recently (last 2 weeks) added a montipora, green & blue zoa, mushroom leather coral, and a xenia. All are doing very well. My tank stays at 80 degrees and 1.025 SG. The corals are not mounted since I am still acclimating them to lighting, water flow, etc. to see where they will do best and look nicest. I plan on adding a few more soft corals and I would like to add a showy coral on top and center of the large rock. Any ideas?

Get yourself a nano Auto top-off system, it will be the best thing you added.

If you are going to get fish, I would just go with a small goby.

Thanks for the suggestion. I had a BRS unit in mind. IF I sould add fish it would be a small goby.
