Hello everyone!
My name is James and I've been fascinated by all living things for as long as I can remember, Keeping exotic animals since the age of 5 and starting my first fish tank when I was 7. I've worked at several pet stores over the years and have worked with saltwater in everyone of them but never attempted to setup a saltwater tank of my own. I've been doing research for about 3 years on the topic and recently decided to take the plunge. I'm in the process of cycling a 13.5 gallon Fluval Evo that I've been piecing together for the last few months and am following the BRS/WWC method as best I can with the goal of a fairly low maintenance Softy/LPS tank to house some sort of scorpionfish (possibly the one in my avatar if I can get the little bugger to take Frozen). I'll be doing a build thread on that shortly!
I'm looking forward to the joys and challenges ahead and most of all the continuous learning that comes with keeping any kind of animal.
Asides from this salty endeavour I spend my time keeping an assortment of reptiles and various South American catfish, freediving, flyfishing and chasing various animals across the globe as an amateur wildlife photographer trying to do my part for conservation.
Looking forward to exploring this new dimension of fish keeping!
