Good evening everyone!! Just thought I would introduce myself...
I'm Josh.
I've been in & out of saltwater for the last 15 years, with my last stretch running for almost 7.. I've got a 90gal mixed reef with a 30 gal sump, & a 10gal w/ 5gal sump. I still have some of my original softies. I spent a while battling massive amounts GHA & PO4 due to tap water, abused rock & the use of CC . I gave up, pulled all the CC and started new with fine sand, and re-cured the rock for 5 months; got a reactor & some GFO and have been steady at .075-.10. I have since upgraded to HC GFO but cannot get my eyes to differentiate the color shades below .075 (need a Hanna, currently use NYOS for PO4 testing)
Quite a few moves have destroyed my livestock over the years, and bad husbandry (I attempted "budget reefing" & now I am bald; coincidence?)
Now, I have been fairly stable for a year & a half as a light reef, so I am building my livestock back up. I started with some easy softies & LPS to ensure my methods were still correct & have since added a few more LPS's, SPS's (love my Acros!)
90 livestock:
Koran Beauty (almost 7 years old), changing
2 normal Clowns (F is 5, M is barely 7 or 8 months)
1 Blue Chromis
1 LMB (2 years old)
RBTA (8-10"- refuses to bubble, clowns want nothing to so with it, yet)
A really boring Rhodactis
Green Goblins
Purple Shrooms
Pipe Organ
Red Acan
Blasto merletti
Aussie Duncans
Hammer Coral
Purple Goni
Purple Gorgonian
ORA Tricolor valida
Upscales microclados
M. undata
Tyree Pink M. setosa
OR Tort
