Hi! My name is Wilfredo Perez, I'm new to saltwater aquariums, I have a 10 gallon cube just 6 weeks old, I bought a Favia frag a couple of days ago and it appears to be retracted, all other corals are fine. Parameters are right on spot. Thanks for your help! I hope I can just learn something from you.

Welcome to R2R and to the hobby. Give the favia a few days to acclimate itself to your tank. But just to be safe, tell us what your parameters are (actual readings).

I still think it just needs acclimation time, but is that where you have been keeping your SG?

Yes, it is always between 1.023 - 1.024, but someone told me to rise it to 1.025.

That would be my suggestion as well. Just bring it up slowly...don't try to do it all at once.

Again, I'm not saying this is the problem with your Favia, but if the SG was considerably different in the water it came from, it goes to the point of acclimation period from one tank to another.

Welcome to R2R ;)
