Welcome to R2R!

Welcome aboard, Donovan!

That is a seriously gorgeous tank - I find that it doesn't matter much what a coral is called, so long as it looks good and stays healthy! The only time I think it makes a big difference is here on the forums - when someone wants to know what it is, because they like it and want the same for their own tank.

Welcome Donovan ! Do you collect your corals yourself? What about water changes in that beautiful tank? Do you use natural sea water?

Beautiful reef!

Hello sir. Mostly bought from local LFS in frags or small colony. I solely depends on natural filteration system aka bacteria. I do have simple socks (coffee strainer) and a dymax skimmer on timer, runs 9 hours per day from midnight till morning. Started with IO salts, RODI top off without water changes. I did use NSW when emptied my sump for cleaning on 2 years mark though.

Beautiful tank and beautiful place to live Donovan! You are surrounded by the prettiest reefs on the planet kept by the best Reef Keeper from above. One of these days I will go dive there. Caribbean reefs are not as diverse and colorful over here.[emoji4][emoji106]

Yup, known as most diversed reef system in the world. You can see sps colonies less than 100 meter from public beach. Large pocillopora, lots of LPS as well. We are lucky we have millions acres of marine conservation areas, and 8 species of giant clam are cultured and released back into the wild.

A few more shots of Borneo corals. These are common corals, can be seen everywhere, lowest tide are the best time to see them in the wild. With water up to your knee, who needs goggle to appreciate its colors :). Sorry for the crappy pictures, my phone camera sucks especially on close up mode :(
