Hello all,
I joined this site when I was having a medical emergency with one of my fish and forgot to even say hello in this forum, well it's better now than never I guess so apologies for the delay. I'm the partner of @Beansprout who posted a little earlier.
So I've owned fish tanks most of my life, starting with a river minnow tank my dad got for me at the age of eight years old (now 37). In my teenage years I kept a large catfish specimen tank before finally taking the plunge with my first nano reef tank (Boyu tl450 I think). It was very basic but I actually achieved a fair amount of success with it, growing softies and keeping the usual nano types such as clownfish, shrimp etc.
Anyway university called and so sold everything up and left it for ten plus years. Now with a place of my own I was able to finally get back into the hobby in a more serious way and with the pocket money to fund the addiction fully.
So purchased a Redsea 200xl which I've done a fair amount of work on, valve upgrade, two skimmers, upgraded Ato, Clarisea, ozone, uv, refergium, and reactor all monitored via Apex.
The tank is primary a Scorpion predator FOWLR tank, with a trio of Dwarf Lions, Sea Goblin, Weedy Rhinopias, Snowflake Eel and a few other ambush predators that don't move much!
Anyway enough of me waffling on, just a big hello to you all on this fabulous site.
