My name’s Sarah and I am very new to saltwater reefing. I first got into aquariums when I was 14 with a 26 gallon freshwater tank and have almost always had fish since then (uh, that would 36 years). I went to Central Michigan University planning on a degree in marine biology. But then life happened and now I’m a nurse with a husband, a son and DIL and a 3 year old grandson (huh? How’d that happen?!). I also have 2 dogs, 3 cats, and 4 chickens.
Anyway, I’m still in the very early stage of reefing. I’ve read hundreds of articles, watched hundreds of videos, and have hundreds of questions. I’m slowly acquiring my equipment for my Fluval Evo 13.5. In a perfect world, I’d eventually create a tank that would be the envy of the neighborhood and draw school children from miles away. However, without winning the lottery, that just isn’t going to happen. I figured a nice little tank would be a good start for playing chemist and biologist without breaking the bank.
I’m glad I found y’all and, believe it or not, I’m actually fairly shy so if you don’t hear much from me, that’s absolutely normal. But I’m a world-class lurker. Happy reefing!!
