Hi, new here. Been in the hobby for 15 or so years, had a lot of different size tanks but now I have a 110 tall. About to start putting up a 150 standard that is brand new that I am getting for a good price, but a little concerned about the 29" depth. I am a huge fan of SPS and lighting is going to be an issue I'm afraid..

Welcome to R2R! There is allot of good information on the site on lighting. If you can't find what you have a question about, just ask. Where on the Gulf coast are your from. I spent many years in Biloxi.

There is some good lights that will penetrate down for your needs and also you can grown some nice low light corals down on the bottom such as chalices, acons lords, and more;)

Welcome!! I have a custom tank that is 28.5 in depth. I have no problem. I have 3-4 inches of sand. I can just reach all the way down when placing a new coral or cleaning. As far as lighting is concerned I have Orphrek V3+. I have no issues here. Check out my thread. It needs updating.
