Hello all,
As a few of the ones I have seen in here, I am returning from a bit of a hiatus from the hobby. I have run a few different SW setups over the years while living in South Florida. Last was a 10 gallon nano LPS/Softies tank for years. Had to get rid of it to move to Ireland for a contract job. 6 years later, I have moved back to the US and settled in WV. The wife mentioned that the house is missing something as she loved the look of my little tank. So here I am trying to research things.
I am not going nano again. Too much stress/space management. Thinking of settling between a 120-180 and going BB. Would love to maintain SPS, but not sure if I am biting off too much as a return to the hobby tank. I understand the basics, but unsure of the tech changes in equipment over the past 6 years and what the current methods are nowadays. But some things are the same, lots of options/opinions. The red sea tanks were always a dream list, but not sure if I can sell the cost to the misses. So I guest the DIY route will have to do.
