Hi
I'm new to saltwater since January. I've had freshwater tanks all of my life but I've always been scared of saltwater. Now that I've taken the plunge I wish I had done it sooner. I bought a complete 90 gallon system in January. It was still running when I picked it up. I saved the 3 fish and the corals that were in it. It's a 36x24x24 tank with a 24x18x16 sump. I bought a 6x 39 watt T5HO for it as it came with a metal halide light. Let me know if you have any questions for me.

Thanks everyone. I'm running a 6 bulb 36 inch t5ho tek light now. Colours are ok but almost no growth. Only sps to survive so far is a green slimer. I'm thinking of switching to a 400 watt mh with 4 24 inch t5s. Do you think there will be much difference in heating up the tank? The 6 bulb now is only about 8 inches off the water but the 400 mh will have to be mounted higher to get it to cover 36 X24 X24 inches.
