Been a member here for a bit, but decided for an introduction.
Like some of you I have been keeping Freshwater tanks for years.. Hard to remember a time I did not have something going...
About 18 months ago the wife and I decided to go salt.. We ended up with a 56 gallon column tank with a DYI PVC over flow.. Well about 3 months ago the overflow started loosing sucking and flooded twice.. So I knew it was time for an upgrade.
Well after 2 months my 75 is ready for the transfer of Fish... We will be doing that this weekend. I went with a drilled tank and a 20 Gallon long sump..
I will be taking photos of the 56 (need to remember it somehow) ans well as the 75 when I get the live stock in it... I have my 56 sold to a cousin so it will stay in the family..
First thing, the column tank was my first mistake. The DYI over flow was my 2nd.. Not saying it can't be done but it's more work with dead spots and making the over flow flow was hard at the end..
I rad several board and joined one other but this is a better fell and glad I found a home here.
Photo to come and thanks for reading.
