I've been lurking on here reading people's posts for a while and decided to join. My name is Mike and I am from Maple Valley, WA. I am pretty new to the hobby. My current tank is a 10 gallon nano with some live rock and a clown fish. I've had this going for about 10 months. I had a bubble tip anemone in therewith the clown, but the clown didn't seem very interested in it at all. Then the anemone went walkabout and ended up getting sucked into the power head. That was a disaster, but the fish was fine after a water change of as much as I could get out. I'm currently setting up a 75 gallon tank that I plan to use as a mixed reef tank. It's been taking a while to get the equipment for the 75 because the stuff is so darn expensive, and I just hate buying stuff from China. But I want to do it right the first time so I don't have to scrap a bunch of stuff and start over, so I have been taking my time and doing lots of research on equipment and fish and corals and compatibility. 1 thing I know for sure is that I will have foam protectors on the powerheads before adding another RTBA to my 75 when it is setup. Thanks for having me in your forum community.:usa:

Welcome to the site Mike! There are several other washingtonians on here

Welcome to R2R

Hey man! Welcome! I am also from Maple Valley and an electrician as well! I work for Sequoyah. How about you? Post a pic of your current tank, looking forward to the 75g. Hell, I might even just have to come over and see it in person!

inkedsparkster I will get a pic on here soon, I need to do a little bit of rock restructuring first. Sequoyah, cool. I have been with Nelson Electric since Jan 13' till March 14'. Now got to join 736 other unlucky individuals but hey, in this industry it's to be expected sometimes. I just checked out your build thread, that is a sweet stand! Tank looks great too. I thought about the Kessil A360WE for my 75. You'll have to let me know what you think of them when you get them going. From the pics you posted it seems like we live in the same house, your floor plan is flipped from mine though. Are you on Elk Run GC? We'll have to hook up and check out each others tanks for sure.

Yeah, Always gotta plan for that inevitable for sure. You are correct, I live beside the power lines right off the Tee box on hole 10 (if your familiar with the course) down on 277th ST. I will let you know what I think of them for sure, however I am new to the hobby so I won't know how they compare. You live in Elk run also?

OK, a little late to the Party but hey.... Another welcome from yet another Washingtonian.

Cheers, Todd

Yes I am at the middle of the 15th fairway, 281st. We could probably throw rocks at each other from our houses. lol...or at least hit golf balls.
