Hello Reef2Reef,
First off, thanks of all the info and insight you share as a community - the forums have been a great reference point for this new reefer!
I recently started my first saltwater aquarium after keeping several planted aquariums over the years. I was inspired by a recent 10 day trip to St. Thomas USVI, all the amazing snorkeling convinced me that I should really have a little slice of ocean in my home office.
Thanks to this forum I found a used JBJ 20 Gallon AIO for a good deal - shoutout to @bro1123 for helping me get set-up.
My home base is West Michigan and I've also got to give a plug to my LFS - Watercolors Aquarium Gallery. They've helped me get a solid start in the hobby, and their podcast is a solid listen that covers a range of topics that will interest beginners and experienced reefers alike!
I've started a build thread and would love to see you over there. I've got a few corals and inverts and am looking forward to stocking fish soon. I'm taking my time and being patient as I grow my way into this niche of the hobby.
See you around,
FreshCoastReef
