Hello! My name is Shasta I am 34 and live in rhinelander WI. I inherited my first salt water tank 5 years ago. However it was just rock, sand and a few hermit crabs. up intil recently I never thought about realy getting into sw keeping. The tank I inherited was a 12 gallon eclipse which I found out I could not keep coral in. Not with the stock lighting. So a few months ago I got a bug up my butt, joined the northern wi reef society, and have been learning. I got a dual compact flourescent light and got rid of the eclipse hood. So far I have a few zoa's, mushrooms, and pulseing xenia. That started it and in May I set up a 20 gallon from scratch. It has dual t-5 for lighting, 2 inches of sand and at least 25-28lbs of live rock. I have a few mushrooms in there and a frag of frog spawn. Nothing exciteing about it but I know in this hobby you cant rush things.
I also have a planted 10 gallon fw, a 50g breeder fw, and 7 two gallon betta tanks.
Eventualy I would like to set up a frag tank out of a 20 long, still reading on how to go about doing that.
Cant wait to check out more of this forum!

Welcome to R2R! We love pics, and have an FW section too for your other tanks. Feel free to ask any questions you have.

This is what the 12 gallon eclipse looked like when I got it.

I am going to add more rock to it yet, the xenia is realy grooveing in my tank. Which I like xenia, and somehow I can not frag this stuff and get it to grow in my 20 gallon.

This is my 20 gallon when I first set it up.

we dont have the LA one at our back door, those are still shipped but anything that is at the WI facility, yeah I know I can get it at the retail store. I never got a full tour of the facility yet. We had a reef society meeting there once and I still didnt get to see the whole thing.

Welcome to R2R! Great to have you!

By LA I meant Live aquaria. Specifically you have the Divers Den in your back yard.

By all means check it out!
