This is my set up so far, Sorry the pic is so awful on this tablet but my camera cord is MIA.
Its 4 ft long and 20 inches high and 15 inches front to back (about 270 litres including sump) has an Aqua one skimmer (suits 400 litres),
a 12000 LPH wavemaker, a cannister filter with built in UV zapper and 2 T5 lights-54 watts each one blue and one white.
I just added 30 kilos of uncured live rock to start cycling 3 days ago.
I plan on having a few inverts, some clown fish and a few easily grown by a noob corals a bit later on.
My ammonia level is at 2ppm and nitrites and nitrates are at 0ppm.
These are my questions,
I added some Seachem prime and this leaves ammonia nontoxic or something, will this stuff up my cycle and should I have done this?
If I add another 3000 LPH wave maker to my tank along with the 12000 LPH will I blow my poor baby clown fish away when I eventually get them?
Is 2ppm ammonia around what I should expect it to be? The rock was soo smelly :( but there was still lots of life on it.
Lastly if I just get another 2 sets of the T5 lights so I will have six 54 watt lights 3 blue and 3 white will this be enough for me to have some basic corals? Thanks for reading all this, any help would be appreciated.

Welcome to R2R!

Im not good at the conversion from leters to gallons but I'll do my best :) by the dimensions given it seems that you have a 55 gallon tank. You have a 2 bulb T5 light that willl work for soft corals and maybe some other low light types. Once you up your lighting to the 6 bulbs you plan on you should be able to keep what you want depending on the reflectors in the fixture.

Your ammonia is good and it should rise for another week or two. then your nitrates and nitrites will spike and then drop. Once they are all reading 0 (or below 1) you can add your first fish. I would wait until then to add anything though just to make sure you are done cycling.

I wouldn't at all worry about the flow you have or want to upgrade to. You may actually need a little more after you get the other 3000 LPH pump. I always like to have at least 4 places where flow originates from. One on each side and two in the back is a good starting point. After that you can adjust as needed to eliminate any dead spots. :)

I hope that helps

That helps heaps thank u I can breathe a little easier and stop worrying, I have the 3000 LPH already but havent been game enough to add it so that gives me something to do while I wait for it to cycle Ill just mess around with that :)

Yeah try and see if you can get those three only blowing everywhere in the tank with no dead spots. If you have spots without flow food will accumulate there and cause problems when it starts to decay. :) your doing good so far, now you have about a month to mess with flow lol

You were right about me wanting more flow, Im getting some dead areas already and when I went to add the 3000 LPH it made no difference at all, I think Ill give it away and get another 12000.
