Yeah, what’s up with that? Are folks in Hawaii unable to buy any stony corals - - even if imported from some other part of the planet (New Zealand, Asia, Red Sea, Dead Sea)? I read that they were not - - which is ironic.
It’s because of all these strict laws in place is hard to get anything imported to Hawaii. It’s sad.

I also live in Oahu. So much strict laws in place so it hard to get any live corals.
There used to be a fish store in Kahala, they had saltwater fish but no corals. I started my tank when I was in high school and it was tough. Not much equipment, knowledge, fish stores, etc. But the sea surrounding us had everything we could ever want.

There is a decent place to get saltwater corals and fishes. It’s called coral reef Hawaii. It’s in salt lake area . Give it a look.

Welcome we’re glad to see you.

I just started my Saltwater Adventure quite recently. I took care of couple or fresh water fishes before but never any salt water. I am noob in saltwater but I understand how difficult it is and how much responsibility it takes.

I currently have a 70 gallon salt water tank. With a one baby Hippo tang and 2 clownfishes and cleaner shrimp. I also have one of those deadly Zoa that spews out palytoxins.

I probably have a lot of questions in the future so be prepared lol. Nice to meet you all

Thank you
