Did the movement sensor in the camera trigger it? Yes of course! He said, “Hi I’m all good sorry to be so dramatic lol!”does the fish know you?
Yes and I was in the room. I left for two seconds and he was being dramatic as I came back to this and him deflating as soon as he saw me and looking at me like sorry Mom all good just being dramatic. Are you gonna feed me now?Well caught!Did the movement sensor in the camera trigger it?

I know and it happens so quickly and they deflate quickly too or at least should.I’ve been lucky enough to seem mine do it in person a few times now. I was even able to get a picture one time. It’s amazing how they can inflate and all the spikes go up.

Just curious, do your fish not recognize you? Mine all recognize me. When I sit at the dinner table I can see two of the tanks and the fish all come to the end and swim in circles to get my attention. My tangs even know where I keep the pellets I use as treats and start swimming spastic like begging when they see me reach for it.does the fish know you?
Yea it is real quick. That was the only time I was able to get my phone and take a picture in time. Usually he is deflating by then.I know and it happens so quickly and they deflate quickly too or at least should.
From my understanding they do inflate occasionally to exercise those muscles. I have actually always kept mine in an active reef tank with plenty of tangs. In my experience, the issue isn't the other fish, its the puffer itself. Most of the porcupines I have kept have been fairly peaceful with other fish. I remember the one I had would try to kill pretty much everything, had to rehome him.Very cool. I always thought they only inflated when threatened but maybe they just need a good stretch once in a while. I'd really like to have one of these but I think they are best in a tank by themselves or at least not with a bunch active fish like tangs which I already have.
