Thought i read the whole threat but i seem to have missed it! Thanks! :)

Perry,
What do you believe the Coral Build is doing? Have you noticed anything linked directly to its use?

 makes me want to switch to t5.

I have been using t5 since 2007, I have never found a reason to switch, sure the idea of led sound super cool, but I prefer less technology, and more biology, my tank is run fairly basic, outside the Probiotic program :)

Thought i read the whole threat but i seem to have missed it! Thanks! :)

No worries, thanks for looking over the thread, I appreciate and comments and feedback, whatever works. Cheers!

Perry,

AF Build is sort of the same equivalent to what the purpose of Zeovit's Coral Snow does. Supposed to help neutralize acids in the tank, and help in the calcifying process for coral building, as I understand it... Regards,

Awesome tank:cool: Perry!!

Dang this is nice!

Hope my colors come out like yours:) Just started AF Salt and other products.

Beautiful Acro's! I decided to give the Aquaforest Reef Salt a try ( used to use Red Sea blue bucket) It says on the sheet of paper that comes with the salt that it has an Alk of 8. I'm testing it at 6.7 at a specific gravity of 1.026 measured with a Milwaukee digital refractometer.

Have you ever tested and compared your results to the results that Aquaforest claims?

Other than that I'm pretty happy with the salt and it's no big deal to bump the Alk up a bit ( I shoot for 7.8-8dkh in my tank) I actually prefer that it tests too low rather than too high.

are we going to get a peek "under the hood" if you know what I'm saying? What can I say I am an equipment junkie!

Sorry for the delay, I have been swamped, but here is my program with AF and the guts of the system...

120 gallon tank, and the AF program is as follows:

Probiotic System:
*AF Probiotic Reef Salt- 10 gallons every other week
*Pro Bio S(bacteria source) - 4 drops in AM after skimmer in sump
*NP Pro(carbon source) - 4 drops in AM after skimmer in sump
*Siporax- 2 Liters in TLF reactor slow flow(non AF)
*Seachem Matrix - 4 Liters in sump passive(non AF)
*AF Zeo Mix- 3 cups in 1.5L Vertex Zeolite Reactor(Stacked changed every 4 weeks)
*AF Carbon- 1.75 cups in 1.5L Vertex Zeolite Reactor(Stacked changed every 4 weeks)
*AF Phosphate Minus- 1.25 cup in 1.5L Vertex Zeolite Reactor(Stacked changed every 4 weeks)
*Filter sock to keep sump clean, changed every 3 days

Minerals/ Trace
*AF Component 1- 230ml per day contains: Ca, Mg, Sr, Ba, Co, Mn, Cu, Fe, Zn, Ni, Cr

*AF Component 2- 230ml per day- contains: NaHCO3, F, I

*AF Component 3- 230ml per day- contains: mineral salts and K, Bo.

AF Foods and Supplements:
*AF Energy- 4 drops at night, after lights out
*AF Build- 4 drops at night, after lights out
*These are dosed together every other night*

*AF Vitality- 4 drops at night, after lights out
*AF Amino Mix- 4 drops at night, after lights out
*These are dosed together every other night alternating*

*AF Power Food- 3 times weekly 3 spoons mixed with tank water lights out at night
*AF Fish V- 2 drops every other day with frozen fish food, while thawing

Picture of the sump, this is the most organized I have been with the sump. The matrix was recently taken off the floor of the sump and moved to a spaghetti basket as to not allow for settling. My nitrates went up to 5ppm and phosphates to 0.09ppt. I knew it was time to break down the sump and do a thorough cleaning, in 3 days, I am now down to 2.5ppm nitrates, and 0.03 phosphates. I think it is important to point out that normal maintenance and husbandry is imperative, regardless of how many drops of this or that added to a tank...

The heart of my system is the ATB small cone skimmer, rated for 450 gallons, this thing skims like a beast!

IMG_7440.jpg

4 Liters of Matrix in a strainer basket as to not clog with detritus

IMG_7441.jpg

2 Liters of Siporax in a 2LF reactor with flow at approximately 50gph.

IMG_7444.jpg

Vertex 1.5 Liter zeolite reactor, with AF Zeo Mix, Carbon, and Phosphate Minus(amounts listed above)

Dry Cabinet with all non sump cords, monitor, and dosers, along with all supplements from Aquaforest.

Your little piece of the reef is absolutely sick! Wow.

Thank You :)

Great FTS. Tank is looking great.

Thanks Matt, you gonna have to come by one of these days man!

Hi Jimbo,
No, I have not, I have done as large as a 20% water change, and after it mixes in to the reef, I still get a reading close to what I strive to keep alk at, and I do not mess with my dosing schedule either :) Cheers!

Stunning!!! Fantastic colors and combination. Congrats!

I have seen you are using 230 ml if AF 1,2,3. Have you ever think about changing to calcium reactor?
