I can tell you I have used a Calcium reactor in the past, and I was always tinkering with it, I mix this myself, and the cost is not too bad, so I will likely stay with the Component system 123. I like how trace is covered in the system, makes it more of a plug and play from a water chemistry standpoint.

Well @Perry I ended up getting the ATI dimmable 48" 8x54w fixture with 5 blue+, 2 Purple+ and 1 Actinic. It has been running over my tank for about 3 weeks and in that time my tank has gone from dosing 20ml of the component 1,2,3+ to 50ml and everything is growing fantastic. Also picked up a Walt Disney Tenuis and it is starting to encrust (really excited to see what it looks like when it grows out more). Thank you sir for all of the help and advice!

I am currently running 4x Blue+, 2x Coral +, and 2x ABS. I plan to replace both Coral+ with Purple+ and one of the ABS with another Blue+ on my next bulb change. I am happy with the colors, but I think I can pull better colors with less white, so I am going to allow for slower growth and better coloration on the next switch

I just switched my bulb combo, I am running 6 blue+ and 2 purple+ running at 100% now for 6 hours.

Update on the tank. Had an alk spike due to my Red Robin shutting down during a nitrate spike of 20+ppm. I made an idiot decision to add some media(matrix) I pulled out and let go dead, back into my system thinking it was ok, should have cleaned the material with vinegar or boil, but owell, lesson learned. The dead media caused the nitrates to rise and the Red Robin did not like it. The Red Robin is about 8" by 6" and about 6" tall, quite a good size acro, by it shutting down, it stopped growth, and the alk shift due to this coral not taking in minerals was enough to raise my alk from 7.5 to 8.5 in about a weeks time. When I noticed the tip burn beginning on that coral, I tested alk, sure enough too late. This started an event that impacted about 6 acros, Red Robin, Blue Tort, Green Slimer, Miyagi Tort, Chips Acro, and Blue Tenuis. This event took place a few weeks ago, and I am now recovering from it. My Kh has gone from 230ml per day down to 130 ml, those 6 acros are very large, so they account for that shift, plus a recent bulb change to halt growth a bit and target better coloration. Now running 6 B+ and 2 C+, was running 4B+, 2C+, and 2ABS, so essentially ditched the ABS and replaced with 2 more B+. 6 Acros impacted with tip burn, they look so horrible right now, I am pretty mad at myself for causing my reef which was thriving, to have to deal with this flu happening. Good news is the other 50+ acros are looking pretty good, they did not seem to be upset with the alk at this level, but I am now stable again and choosing to run alk a bit lower(6.8dkh), this way if I ever do have a spike, I will hopefully catch it before the magic number of 8.5 being my threshold. I run full Probiotic Program from Aquaforest, so a higher alk is a no no with this system. I feel the event has stabilized, and the worst is over, the sick corals do look pretty sad, but hopefully they will heal with time. Here are a few that seem to be doing well
