I think it is fine. Candy cane pistol shrimp (Randall) are smaller than the more common tiger pistol shrimp. I have one in a 10g tank with a goby. They were the only residents originally, he got moved there because my starry blenny started harassing him too much, so I set up my old quarantine tank as a permanent tank since I was done stocking my 32 gallon.
