Once upon a time, in a fish store far far away, I saw an anemone that made me mess my shorts. It was a hot pink bta with neon tips. I asked the owner how much and he said he was selling babies for $750.
I flipped him the bird and left. (not that I thought the price was insulting, it's worth that in my opinion, it's just that my wallet gave my finger a spasm. Can't quite explain it)
Further down the road a bit, I end up becoming an acquaintance of the owner of the nem through a friend of mine. Found out that he said he got the nem from his wholesaler and that he paid $650 from his wholesaler (more on that in a bit). He also told me that his nem never splits for him, but he was going to cut it in half. We work out a deal that he would cut a small piece off for me in exchange for some le corals.
I agreed and got very excited, until he ended up giving that piece to my friend for taking care of his tank while the lfs owner was deployed. I was pretty ******, not at my friend, at least it went to him, but I felt I got hosed. I told him as such and he agreed that the next cut he made, he would split a small piece off and give it to me gratis. I thought that was very cool of him.
Anyway the time came when I got my piece, no mouth, just a portion of foot and a few tentacles. I had it in a breeder net to keep it away from my the rest of my tank and it did well, even started forming a mouth. After a few months though it closed up on me and never opened. Eventually it bit the big one.
I was pretty devastated because by this point, the lfs owner was gone, but my friend still had his piece and said I could have his first split, also incredibly cool of him. Well last month his tank crashed and almost lost his bta, was the size of a quarter when all is said and done, so now I'm pretty sure I'm never going to get one again.
Fast forward to last week, a local guy advertises that he has a flame anemone for sale. Igo and check it out and lo and behold, I see the same nem I had lost. Turns out that lfs owner had not bought it from a wholesaler at all but from this guy. Didn't pay a dime for his either, got it in trade. It was actually the second one he had gotten, his partner tried to cut the first one and killed it.
So not sure where I'm going with this, just thought it was a small world example.

So I was looking at my zoas and guess what I see, itty bitty hello nasty I thought had disintegrated, still alive, no mouth and two tentacles, man these things are hardy.

It better not be in the middle of my zoas! If it is, get it out now! BTA's are very hardy, wouldnt surprise me if it will regrow! lol
