I'll just keep him in a floating hatchery until I can take him back to the story I got the live rock from. It seems I have never been able to keep any of the interesting critters that pop up on the live rock I get

Hello! My ears were burning. Maybe do a google image search for a decorator crab, Oregonia gracilis. It's hard to tell these guys a lot of the time, because they basically look like whatever they chose to put on their body.

That nudibranch looks like he's seen better days. I wouldn't worry about it being there for much longer, to be honest.
