Hello everyone. There's a lot of very nice tanks here which tells me you really know what your doing. Im looking forward to getting to know some of you.
I'm currently running a 560 gallon mixed reef. 120" long, 36" wide, and 30" tall with a 96" x 24" x 24" sump. I'm looking at changing over to more of an SPS tank with open aquascaping. Its gonna be a lot of work, but change is good and is what keeps this hobby interesting. Also the fish selection is a little better looking to me with an SPS tank.

thats a nice sized tank. What kind of lighting etc do you have? Any pics?
Fish selection is really the same, anything that will pick at softies will pick on sps. Some people put questionable fish in reefs with good luck but its not the norm

Welcome to R2R!

Its got 4 400 watt MH right now with 12K Reeflux bulbs. May go back to XM's, but Ive heard great things about the Radiums. Supplimented by actinic VHO, but am planning on switching to LED for that. Here's the rest of it....
ASM G5 Skimmer - would love an ATB or Bubbleking - some people say a skimmer is a skimmer they all work the same - I disagree.
Phosphban 550
Ozone, 2 hours per day
2 tunze 6105 powerheads with controller
2-Closed loop systems
Main pump is a dolphin 3600 - Way too much water flowing thru the sump -I know, but when I set it up, didn't know any better. Concentrating now on getting more flow in the tank itself with the closed loops and possibly getting a couple more tunze's.
Lots of LPS, softies, some big caps and a few other sps.
9 anthias, 2 blue tangs, big naso, chocolate tang, kole tang, lawnmower blenny, flame angel...small fish load - I need a better skimmer
I think thats it. When I start the change over, the rockwork is all gonna change. Along with the corals, fish, and some equipment. I'll throw it on the big tank section with pics when I get this started. For right now, Rick, I'm gonna just watch as yours comes together. Maybe, I'll pick up some ideas.
