Hello everyone! My wife and I have a small pet addiction and we accept it, just figured you should know LOL (say HI everyone).

We currently have:
- 2 dogs (a Boxer & Cocker Spaniel)
- African Grey Parrot
- Indoor Cat
- Mouse (daughters pet)

Also, after many years of reading about saltwater, having a desire to try it and being intimidated by the cost.....we decided to give it a try. Before jumping in feet first, we made many trips to our LPS to ask questions and try to come up with a overall design/game plan for our tank. Our tank is a 40g with base and has always been a freshwater tank.

I want to start a "build" thread as well to document our process/equipment/etc. later on....

But for now, a couple pictures/video. Our tank finally cycled (naturally) and we introduced a couple starter fish this weekend. Two Clowns and a Gobi. On the way home from the LFS, my wife and I decided we would name ALL our fish after our close friends. It puts a smile on our face and our friends seem to like it as well :-).

Anyways, a couple pictures for now for our introduction. Looking forward to browsing the forum.

Welcome to the reef family glad to see somw new members from across the bridge/tunnel

Welcome! Looks like you've got a good start already. Keep us update with new pictures and stuff.

Welcome to R2R.
Where in NY are you. I'm in the Catskills.

I am near Syracuse NY. Glad to see another New Yorker.

Thank you for all the welcomes. I/we plan to start a build thread so we can document our progress along the way. I assume that our tank isn't impressive to many on here but to is, it really is hahaha. We have learned a lot in the process.

Welcome to R2R!

I am new here as well and am in Upstate, NY. I am just starting my saltwater tank as well. (It is literally like only a couple months old). But also see a few other pets we have in common :) I have an african gray as well (Mr. Bird). A freshwater glow tank (my 8 yr old daughters. With the "black" light and the fish that glow in it". As well as Penny (chihuaua) and Bambina (mixed rescue dog from Puerto Rico). Can't forget the 2 kids (8 & 10) and the hubby ha ha ha :) Looking forward to learning about my tank and seeing everyone elses. :becky:
