Relatively new to the saltwater hobby. Was in freshwater for a few years. Less than a year into the marine stuff. I have a 150 long running two canister filters [emoji51] One is mainly for mechanical filtration and the FX6 is my biological filtration. The canister are removed and cleaned every three days. My water chemistry is great. No ammonia, no nitrate and nitrites are good. I have no clue what my Ph is though.... I use Reef Crystal salt. Underneath my 150 I have two quarantine tanks. The 20g is for fish, the 10g is set up in case I need to use it for Copper or other medications. I am building a sump out of an old 55g tank. I’m in the process of acquiring an overflow, plumbing and return pump. So far all of my fish are doing great. I had an issue with marine ich, I just made sure I fed the fish well and often and a varied diet. No spots so far, it’s been a month. I may run it fallow just in case. But I look forward to hopefully being a benefit to the community. I would appreciate any constructive criticism you all have about my set up. Thanks for everything!!!!

Hi! Welcome to R2R!!! You have a beautiful tank!

Thank you all! I had a 46 bowfront prior to this. It just didn’t work out. I’ve found to be successful with the marine water parameters, you have to religiously clean the canister or nitrates will haunt your life!!
