Hi I'm Tyrone. What an exciting forum! A little about myself, I'm not really new to reefing, just took a long break after a frustrating experience. It's amazing what can be learned through trial and error. Pretty much everything I did was wrong, from water chemistry to filtration, you name it I've done it. As so many successful long time reefers have said lack of patience is the worst enemy, so I'm taking a very deliberate approach this time around, which is the primary reason I'm here, lots of advice, different methods, ect, it's what makes this hobby fun. I always go the simp!e, minimalist route. My set up is:
Deep Blue 80 gallon rimless 48"x24"x16"
Stand DIY
Reef Synergy Shadow 16" overflow
Sump 40G breeder w/Fiji Cube refugium kit
Aquatic Life 216w T5 fixture
Tunze 6055 pump (2)
Reef Octopus Varios 4 return pump
Reef Octopus nwb 110 protein skimmer
Caribsea Arag-Alive Fiji pink sand 60 lbs
1" blue hard pvc pipe
Marco's dry rock 75 lbs
This is going to be a mixed reef (leather,LPS,easy SPS,peaceful fish)
