Hi, everyone! I'm 41 years old and have been keep aquariums on and off since I was in middle school. I mostly kept new world catfish and cichlids, and still do. As my name tells you, though, for some reason the humu triggerfish was always my favorite fish. I dreamed of owning one when I could buy a sufficient tank. I got out of the hobby totally when I joined the Army after college.
After the Army and grad school I started getting back into the hobby. I bought my first house a few years ago and celebrated by treating myself to a 75 gallon saltwater tank in my living room. Back then I wasn't interested in a reef setup and wanted build my only little slice of Hawaii with a FOWLR setup for a rectangle trigger and a few other Hawaiian/Pacific fish. That tank has been running on since then but sadly the triggerfish hasn't panned out yet (for reasons I won't get into in an intro post). The tank has some issues, which inspired me to join this forum. At any rate, just wanted to say hello.
