Hello R2R!

welcome.jpg

Long time lurker and reef keeper, but back in the hobby after about a 8 year break.

Kept nano tanks all the way back to the good old Aquapods, before LEDs were ever mainstream part of reefing. Graduated to the initial set of innovative marine Nuvo tanks when they first came out, and then a long gap. I’m back but how times have changed. Lots of the hobby feels similar, but now there’s so many additional variables with affordable controllers and LED technology. I keep threatening to just get my sunpod back out and run the halides again!

Currently trying to troubleshoot an established 80 gallon system that continues to baffle me, I am sure the sages of R2R will have some good advice, because everything I can think to balance and investigate sadly hasn’t given me great answers so far.

‘Thank you all for all of the old threads and the vast amount of knowledge presented on this hub, excited to be a part!

Welcome and welcome back! Glad you joined. Yes, there are now MANY more options than we used to have, though there is nothing wrong with what we used to do (except those metal halides do slurp power!)

Have you considered starting your build thread? I found its a great place to document my tank's evolution for myself. I started tank first then joined, so I'm still finding myself going back collecting pictures & updating historically as well as current state. Once you create your first post in your thread and link it to your account, they will give you build badge (look left, under my ID)

This might help you find people local to you:

This is a good reference book type online article I still review:

Hello and welcome to R2R! People here tend to be friendly, knowledgeable, and ready to help. Hopefully you’ll start a build thread so we can see your build as it progresses. Welcome back to the world of reefing.
