i would have the refugian section ready but no macroalgae in there year because there is nothing in the tank to support it yet. And if it were me and you could buy the UV, buy it and have it on hand during the start up.... that’s what I did for my build.....

Ok where do you normally plumb the UV in the plumbing. Me and my son are gonna do hard plumbing. Also which is better for reef tanks net based tops or glass tops for the tanks!

I would add the UV once the tank is cycled, so you don’t potentially damage any free floating bacteria in the water column (and certainly if your using bacteria from a bottle)

You won’t need a refugium for a while until you start to get nutrients in the water
