Hi all,
A bit about my aquatic background: My dad has been in the hobby since he was a young lad, and acquired an established 90 gal tank from his office a few years back. It has not been heavily stocked, had 4 fish: largest fish was/is a footlong engineer goby, smallest fish was what I believe is a caramel ocellaris clown fish about 3-4 inches, and unfortunately for the past 1-2 years has not gotten as much attention as I now feel it deserves!
When we first got the tank I didn't take much of an interest as I was busy with school, but fast forward to this past fall I have since jumped into the hobby with both feet trying to absorb as much information as I can. From YouTube tips and tricks about adding live sand to an established aquarium, to spending free time at my LFS observing different fish and conversing with the knowledgable employees the deeper I dive, the more I feel like this is the hobby for me!
I am now in the process of setting ups my own 20 gal tank so that I can get the full hobby experience! I feel like I'm cheating starting with just an established 90 gal lol.
I was delighted to stumble upon reef2reef during my research, and I look forward to being able to learn from such experienced and good natured hobbyists!
Best wishes,
Vincent
