I have recently got into salt water aquariums which is unfortunate because I also recently moved to Hawaii and the options there are slim. If there is anyone here that lives on Oahu and can help me out with what exactly is legal to keep coral wise/where I can get it that would be extremely appreciated. Thanks!

I believe you need a license or permits to bring coral into Hawaii. I hear customs seems to catch a lot of the coral being shipped.

Welcome! I’m from Oahu and when I was keeping fish, I got my own from the ocean. @Pop lives on Oahu. She can help you out. She said there’s a place near Aiea if I remember correctly. There is a fish place in Kahala that had saltwater fish that were really expensive. But this was about 15 years ago.

Welcome to R2R. We went to Hawaii on vacation a few months ago. It was amazing to see hordes of yellow tangs coming up to the shore at a Historical Park we visited. Hawaii is so beautiful.
