I'm new here my name is Cameron. I live in the U S of A. I've always loved fish and the amazing things you can do with a reef tank. I purchased a 55 gallon tank about 2 years ago and in the past 6 months I got an amazing deal on a 125 gallon, so I got it. And I've realized that I need help and I need to have a place to come and just ask questions and I figured this was a good place to do that. I'm excited for the things that I'll learn here!

Welcome to R2R! Feel free to ask any and all questions. Make sure to peruse the stickies in the "new to saltwater aquariums" forum. That is a good place to start for information.

Cameron, what's your first question??

Ok my first question is!
Ok so I upgraded to a 125 from a 55 about 5 months ago. I had a coralline quad t5ho with my 55. I have yet to convert my lighting to accommodate my 125. I want to know what I should do. I can't spend a whole lot on lights. Could I still use my t5 and just add some LED's? What do y'all think?

Great question my friend.
It all depends on the size of your T5 unit and what you want to do with your tank corals or not and if so what kind.
Can you show us some pics of your new 125 and your light?

I'm sorry it's a coralife 48" t5ho I'll get some better pics of the light tomorrow! But here is what I have now.

Thanks.
That light can work if you keep all the corals under the light only.
I assume you don't have a sump under need. Maybe that skimmer on the side is rated to low for this tank but it all can depends on livestock and how many you feed.
If you have plans in later stage to improve the light you will have a great tank.

Welcome to R2R;)
