Hello.

I joined reef2reef to follow the discussion about the Exact Idip , since its not yet there for salt water measurements. But could be a game changer when its more acurate.

However,

i'm from holland and started with salt water aquariums for about 3 years ago. Firts i had a 50 ltr aquarium started up, but s
this was way to small for me, so after 8 weeks i bought a 170 ltr aquarium (next to 4 fresh water aquariums). This was run on the Berlin method.
After a bout a year i got rid of all aquariums and got myself a 500 ltr system. this is running now for about 2 years. i use the DSR (Dutch synthetic reefing) method. No waterchanges.
Ater some trouble with nutrients, now the tank is getting stable.

About 2 months ago i rebuild the entire reef.

Some technique.
TMC reefskim 1500
Jebao 6000
maxspect gyre F150
Aqua medic r4
dj switch for control of equipment.
aqua medic refill system
Giesemann Aurora 160 watts t5(Ati Bulbs) and 150 watts led
Resun Cooller.
And since last month i"m experimenting with a refugium.

For testing i mainly use salifert (no3, kh, ca, mg, boron, k, sr, iodine)
Hanna checker phosphorus and sera fe.

I will post some Photos later on.

Hi!!!
Use This One.jpg

Now nutrients are getting better.
Last measurement: po4- 0,18 (was 0,43).
No3 - 25 (was >50).

Goal is po4 0,04-0,08. No3 5.

High nutrients were caused by my own mistake. And letting my dosing pump dose too much.

After this i've lost alot of corals.
Changed/rebuild the entree reef.
Added a more powerfilter skimmer (the deltec sc 1455 was Just too low for my reeftank)
And changed the entire flow by adding the maxspect gyre F150 (instead of 3 sicce pumps).
