Hi everyone! I had to do a kind of emergency post for my first post but here is my intro post. My husband and I purchased a 12gal Biocube on black friday for our first salt water tank. With so many items almost 50% off on black Friday we just had to take the plunge. We have had freshwater tanks ever since we got married and my family has always had at least one tank while I was growing up. Started with 13lbs of live rock and the live sand. Purchased a reverse osmosis system for optimal water quality but passed on the deionizer for now.
Fast forward to now we have our hermit crabs, snails, two emerald crabs, a starry blenny and a six line wrasse. We just added a couple corals maybe two weeks ago. Small frags of a grass coral and a pulsing xenia. Everyone is thriving but I feel like some hermit crabs have gone missing. I look forward to making some other posts to get some questions answered about algae and some advice on my oversized livestock. Yes, I am aware that the starry blenny and six line wrasse should be in a larger tank but the local fish store told us they were good choices. I trusted them and only found out when we got home upon research that the 12 is a little cramped for them.
