Hello I'm homer1475 from upstate NY. I've been into reef tanks actively for the last 4 years. I have had some sort of tank all my life, mostly FW.

I was in the salt hobby 20+ years ago, but a major power outage killed the tank and I got out. Went on vacation a few years back, went to a public aquarium and got bitten by the reef bug again.

While I have been on RC for the last few years and is a wealth of knowledge, unfortiantly all the real reefers are over here now. So I thought I would give here a shot as it seems most people have moved on over here anyways.

While I still like the simplicity of RC, it's just too dead to be of any use. I look forward to meeting new people and sharing my experiences in the hobby.

Purely out of curiosity, where in upstate? Most people consider upstate anything outside the city. To me upstate starts north of Syracuse.

How long does it take to get posts out of "jail", or rather any post I make?

There really isn't a post jail, there's just some threads that you don't have complete access to yet like the marketplace threads. Here are the details on that:

• The sales forum on Reef2Reef is available to members that have been a member for 30 days and have 25 meaningful posts (A meaningful post will involve more than saying things like "nice tank" or "I agree." Something meaningful will often be sharing one's knowledge and experience with others and actively participating in hobby related discussions). I realize that, what i was referring to was when I posted I got a notice saying that it had to be approved from moderators before being publicly seen.

No big deal as it seems to have already passed. And I don't think your post restrictions work, I can already see the for sale section, and could before I even signed up. Unless there is a different for sale section I cannot see yet?

Been a lot of those recently. I really like the place and it's simplicity, but it's certainly dying a slow painful death.

Suppose I should give some details.....

80G SCA cube tank, no filter socks(except when doing maintenance), 2 part dosing, 36" 6 bulb ATI sunpower with 2 reefbrites for supplemental, 2 vortech MP10's and 2 jebao pp8's for flow, Algae scrubber, Full "older" apex, and currently COWLR.

Anything anyone else wants to know, feel free to post up.
